VagCom says controller not responding. I can see controller 17, but not alot of other controllers. Any thoughts why?

Yes the real vagCom (actually second, replaced by Ross when the first cable failed).

Issue solved, I have the older Key-USB and the new cars require the Hex USB to support the can bus. Is it worth the $175 upgrade price?

aha! there's 2, usb or serial, needs to end in +CAN. worth it if you really need it.
