Ever since I bought my 06 3.2 Quattro, it has had a slight vibration as speed increases. My initial thought is that it was off balance wheels/tires. I got the tires balanced on one of the latest balancing machines in my town. Cured the problem slightly but not completely.
So, then I figured I would replace the wheels/tires with brand new. This seemed to help a bit more.
However, I STILL have a slight vibration, which increases with speed. Reading on various websites has suggested a few symptoms, but not convincing.
Any suggestions would be welcomed. It is extremely to have a new set of wheels/tires installed on this caliber of a vehicle and still have this issue, while my gilfriend's toyota camry is smooth as silk on the same road.
Please help!

do you still have the knock off a5 rims on there? have you tried it with a different set of wheels and tires?
A good idea would be to go to an audi dealer, have them swap the rims and tires off of your car with one of the used 06 a4s from the lot. they will probably charge you the cost of a mount and balance for this. if the vibration goes away then you've found your problem.
also, have you gotten a road force balance? you may have a slight flat spot on a tire or a slightly bent rim (or 4) and this would pick up on that. that should run around $200.

I had mine balanced 3 times when I first got them before they got it right. Mine still has a tiny bit of vibration right around 60mph, which luckily is only noticeable on really smooth pavement...

Tire was brand new. They replaced two wheels and rebalanced the wheels 3+ times before it was resolved.

I don't quite understand how a wheel balancer (especially a newer model) would need 3x or more to balance a tire correctly? I am certain if I go back to the local tire shop they will more than likely charge me for it.
Again, these wheels and tires are brand new. I also had an alignment performed, to line up the new tire/wheel combo appropriately.
But I am willing to have them balance it again if people feel its a tire concern.
