Unfortunately we do not offer any forged wheels or 17" wheels at the moment.

Default TJ: Mike, does your oil cap (with press relief) from the B5 S4 fit B7 A4's?

Any thoughts on whether you think it's even necessary on a chipped (or more) 2.0T engine?

Default Hey Raj...

for one, it doesn't fit...

but the 2.0T has a more complex ventilation system than the 2.7T's, so off the top of my head, I don't think it would be necessary.

On a bad note, we even had two cars come here that had failed regulation valves on the driver's side of the valve cover. One car wouldn't even run (2007 A4) and the other we could get him back to the dealer to get it under warranty or maybe recall? That was an 06 GTI

On the passenger side, there's some lines that evacuate into the inlet of the turbo(I HATE this and tell people to get rid of that so they're not getting the turbo and whole intercooling system coated in oil). Not to mention, it effectively lowers your octane if it makes its way into the intake manifold. That's why I rerouted this into a catch can on our GT kit. After less than a year of driving I must have recovered about 8 ounces of oil in there!

Default Jeez...thanks for the info!

So basically my pass side intercooler is effectively doubling as a half a$$ed catch can for now.

Guess I'll have to open up Bentley to see what I can learn about the 2.0T crankcase vent system. Unfortunately for me, I've done no research, and there isn't a knowledge base here to tap yet. Have you been on other forums that have good people that are knowledgable about the 2.0T? I just want to read and learn with as little nonsense as I can possibly be exposed to.

Default you're welcome...

I have yet to tear one apart, but I'm definitely willing to destroy mine and show you guys.

I thought this was the place to be? I want to drum up the business for the future here and hopefully we can all educate eachother with our experiences!

If you find anything out, post it..you're like one of the only people I recognize on here. hah!

Default It's not like the days of the B5's...

B7 owners posting here seem fewer in numbers, and far less are ripping into their cars so far. I'm sure people will eventually, but with a smaller collective, it'll take some time and may never be as extensive as we see with both the B5 forums. The tuners are just now coming to market with full BT kits, so that might have something to do with it. Only a handful have gone down that road so far (so there is your market!).

Default that's true. Hopefully over time we can really see the potential of these

I'm doing my best to gather data and test turbo options, work on refining the tuning, etc.

I actually have some interesting info to post about a GT2871R...I'll do it in a bit here..

have a nice weekend Raj..

Mike
