Default What happened to this forum?

Hi everyone. I haven't been on or posted anything in the past few months but it seems the B7 forum is dead. I think only 3 posts today. I rememeber in the past it seemed like there were 100s of posts everyday. Where has everyone gone? Is there a new forum I don't know about?

Thanks in advance!

Default sleepy forum

Yep. I agree. Very little traffic on this forum. I use to be on the B6 forum about 3 years ago and it seemed to be quite active. Not sure what happened. Did another Audi forum site open up and attract all the members? Or maybe B7 owners are just not interested in their cars.

Default A lot of regulars moved...

....to another forum after the format of this one changed...some occasionally check back in, but this forum seems to be slowly building again with newbies, which is a good thing...Audiworld is a great resource.

Personally I think it's funny that so many members thought the advancement of the forum was a big enough deal so they left to go to other forums.... that have been this format for years. Makes sense.

I bet some have moved on to B8 A4s and others like me split our time between AudiWorld and QuattroWorld.

Ah,.yes! That is the forum format that I remember. Just like the old Audiworld. The nice thing about it is that you don't have old threads getting moved up to the top just because someone has answered it. Your thread stays in the same order as it was placed. Much easier to find information too.

By my observations their B7 forum is also getting a lot more traffic then here.

Yeah but the trade-off is that if there IS a good thread it's 39 pages back behind a bunch of n00bs asking the same stuff over and over again. This format allows relevant threads to be seen first even if you weren't around when it was first posted. Also allows you to scroll and read whereas the other format requires you to click individual posts and knowing who replied when and to what isn't as logical. Personally, I can't stand that forum type and there's a reason not too many forums use that format anymore.
