Default I'm not making assumptions, I've named the brands I have facts on.
Which is why I never mentioned GIAC at all. They haven't said anything about what they have, whats being developed or what technology they are using. Until they do, i'm not going to say one thing or another about them.

Exactly what assumptions am I making?

Default I have a Q about reprogramming a new car....
Say Audi releases a mandatory upgrade - you go with your car for oil change and your Audi service also has to flash the ECU with the updated code - wouldn't that erase your custom code and thus making it a waste of $600+??
