It's not difficult, just need the proper tools. Most integral is the bearing compressor tool or a press. All together if you haven't done a b7 bearing change you're looking at spending 160 for OE bearing, 100 for a compressor tool, 20 for a gear puller and 14 for a new axle nut. Most people b7 owners stop at getting the bearing removed and new pressed on to the hub for about 50 bucks. Of course I'm taking into consideration you have a breaker bar and metric tools etc. You may also need an impact wrench to get the bearing/hub assembly off of the spindle. If this sounds like your kind of thing than go for it, ask me any questions. If not get it done at a GOOD shop - euro preferably...don't know how much they'd charge you. My guess would be 70ish for labor on top of bearing cost. Call up the audi dealer and ask what their rate is.

Dolamite, Thanks so much for the info. I've done bearings on some of my older cars (bearing/race pressed into rotor) but wasn't sure what was involved for the A4. I appreciate your response.
