Where's the ECT sensor located, and is there a DIY change?

One of my fans doesn't work and neither does my ac. My temp reads 117 when it's 100.
Would the etc sensor possibly fix this? Also any idea where it's located and if there's a DIY guide. I've tried to search all over but it's kinda hard being that I have only my phone for a while.
Oh, it's a 3.2 quattro.

Ive only just bought my Audi so not sure if im going to answer you right. Im assuming the ECT sensor is the thing that reads the inside temp and then the AC systems works from that info.
If thats the case (at least on my car) the vent looking thing just at the top of the ac controls in the center hides the temp sensor. This may not be what you want, but if the temp is reading wrong it might be a start.
