Thats an interesting noise if i'm picturing it correctly, I'm a huge believer in finding every noise rattle and creak in my car and wont live it down till I fix them. Usually this is the time of year I get the most because everything is contracting with the weather, but I don't think that's your problem. I have an 08' A4 with the storage compartments underneat the front seats, I could see them making a rattle or creak but what I'm picturing would be something way different. I suppose you could start by taking out the storage compartment and seeing whats behind it, and trouble shooting from there.
