It just something most of us haven't seen before, therefore the usual initial cautious reactions....
However, I remember my first perceptions of luxury and class in the interior being black leather with wood trimming, especially on the steering wheel. I think people will grow to like it but in the same way, it detracts from the sporty look and feel of the A4.

I wouldn't want to use a wood manual shift **** either...
I'm glad Jim Ellis had an A4 with the vavona wood and this wheel/shifter.
I decided that I don't like vavona, so I got walnut, and I prefer the 3 spoke wheel. I haven't seen a manual with this wheel option.
