Default 09 a4 rear brakes

I have an 09 A4 with 74,000 miles and need to replace the rear brakes and rotors. Now I know I "should" use the oem audi brakes but they are so pricey. If I put on good aftermarket brakes and pads will they squeal? I know audi makes thei products specific for their cars so I dont wanna spend 200 and then the pads squeal when new. Anyone have suggestions or have done anything in the past?

I put audi fronts on not long ago and parts cost me 350 and i did the lavbor myself. I am trying to save a few bucks this time.

Does it matter ceramic or metallic?

I would not be dead set on using OEM parts especially as there are many other companies out there that make comparable if not better products. I have had good experience with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors, they are very well engineered and given that the rears are simple solid rotors, these should serve you at a fraction of the price (here is the link from amazon for them, 36 bucks a piece, http://amzn.to/xzkcon ). Would be nice to hear what others have used. On a personal note, the worst rotors I have bought to date were Centric, very imbalanced in weight and workmanship was horrific.

I haven't had problems with Centric, but I had an issue with EBC Ultimax Slotted rotors. Haven't had issues with Brembo.

Stan I appreciate the response. That link states that the rotors are out of stock. Also what kind of pads did you go with? Any other options?

I know it sounds like you don't want to go OEM, but if you're satisfied with the stock braking performance and want less dust, Audi reformulated their pad compound in the past 2 years so that they dust a lot less (and perform about the same).

IF you replace rotors and pads you should not have any noise, i personally like AKEBONOS
http://www.akebonobrakes.com/aftermarket/index.html
ROCKAUTO.COM HAS THEM FOR REAR AROUND 50 A SET.
