Most race tracks/drag strips will sell various forms of very high octane fuel. Be prepared to spend $$$$$/gallon.

Why woul'd you want it? Have you changed the compression ratio of your engine? Unless you have done this, there is no benefit in higher knock resistant fuels (eg gasoline able to compress more in the compression stroke without self igniting aka knocking). The octane rating have nothing to do with the "power" of the fuel beyond this. Just avoid everything lower than 90 (R+M/2) and the A4/S4 will run just fine.

That is quite easy to do with a turbo A4. 40 odd Hp is available from Data Jockies that modify the engine control unit. Most of the increase is from allowing more boost. At the same time this can result in more go from an increase in octane. Some have made it easy to change the program from the driver's seat. Using the stalk buttons you can switch from stock, to mild, to wild. Stock and mild will use pump gas, but wild requires 100+.

States are making it harder to get the fuel by not allowing it to be sold for highway use.

Ask a fuel distributor in your area, they will tell you where racing gas is sold.

Sunoco sells 100 octane at a few select locations, I think they call it "260 GT 100" or something similar. It isn't cheap. Try poking around their website.

Default Try ACES IV if you want to run 100 octane tune

A number of us from the rs6.com board have been using ACES IV from BND Automotive in our chipped RS6s. WIth 91 or 92 octane pump gas, and ACES IV added, the 100 octane APR tune runs fine, without any knock, but with one heck of a kick. I thought the stuff was snake oil when I first heard of it, but many on the board run it routinely. I've gone through about a gallon and a half of it (add 1 ounce to each 6 gallons of gas) and run the 100 octane tune full time. I'm in California where pump premium is about $4.25 and 100 octane close to $7/gallon. We recently added an APR tuned 2009 A4 to the family stable, running it full time with ACES IV as well. With pretty extensive searching I've found no downside to it, and search the RS6,com board if you want to dig into more comments. Brian at BND will give you the scoop. And no, I have NO financial interest whatsoever in it; just like to see others enjoy their Audi as much as I!
