'12 A4 Avant
Hi, everyone... just ordered our 2012 A4 Avant with Prestige and S-line Plus packages, shades, rear airbags and adaptive cruise. We also sprung for our favorite Audi color, Nogaro Blue Pearl. Should look fantastic with the black trim. Audi refused to allow us silver Alcantara inserts (Europeans get much better treatment) so we will settle for the black. We expect delivery (and ECU reprogramming!) in October. Pics will follow!

Congrats. It looks like you're a bit of a connoisseur of audis. I'm planning on making a 2012 Avant my first and was wondering how did you negotiate a price with the dealer before actual prices have been released? I'm anxoius to submit my order but hesitant before I see actual numbers...what do you recommend?

Well, embarassingly enough, we don't have a final price, so in some ways we are over a barrel, but we put down a very small deposit to secure the order. There are two dealers in the area, but we aren't particularly fond of either of them. In fact, we had our RS6 serviced in Sarasota, which is 60 miles away. They are excellent, but driving 60 miles was a pain. So, we decided to buy locally, and so far our experience has been superb. I think one thing you can do is get quotes from at least two dealerships once the 2012 prices have been released. The Tampa dealership, Reeves, is allowing us an owner loyalty rebate even though the RS6 is on its way to Wisconsin, so there will be some money taken off the list price, and we expect to haggle a little for some accessories, but we don't expect much of a discount off list here. If you can pit two dealers against each other, you might make some headway. Good luck!

That is an awesome wagon!! I think it is in Sprint Blue, though, and ours will have the 19" Titanium 5-arm wheels and the blacked out trim, so a little different. But it sure looks great in blue!! We also love the Monza Silver...what a great color. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks! The waiting is the hardest part. We are into instant gratification, so the next months will be difficult. Especially with all the messages on the forum reminding us that we can't have the car until the fall....sigh.

I decided to go for a P+ 2011 Avant, SportPkg, Nav and have since added a custom install stereo (high end stuff) Car drives really well, have all bells and wistles i wanted, looks great, is practical, gets great gas milage, is on the sporty side and on top of it now has an amazing sound system.
My 2hr round trip commute is a pure bliss. Taking the backroads home a sunny evening is a nice micro break from the day to day madness
