So I got my oil changed yesterday and the oil indicator was only a 1/4 full when I got it back home and checked it. So on my way back down to the dealer today, I was kinda layin into it on the highway and I get off at the exit ramp and check the level when I'm stopped at the light and the oil bar was full... I was glad that it finally read full properly but I was pissed I had already drove 10 minutes for nothing so I went back home. My question is, has anyone had the oil bar take a while to register full after an oil change? Just for reference my oil level indicator was about half full when I took it in.. Does it really take a day to reactivate and check the oil? Or maybe some hard driving?..

^MMI definitely takes a while to read properly, which is why an actual B8 2.0T dipstick would be a godsend.

My local mechanic whom my family and I trust and have been going to for years is happy to work on my Avant, but he's not sure if he can reset the service meter. He mentioned that he can't reset his son's Volvo service meter. Does anyone know if the service meter is a dealer-only reset? If so, has anyone had it done to see how much the dealer charges or if they'll even do it without having performed the service themselves?

At least on my car I can reset it under the "CAR" menu.

Really? The service meter and not the TPMS? I thought it was a VAG-COM reset.
