Automatics have made incredible strides with manual shifting, efficiency, and performance.

would get a RWD car ahead of a FWD car, though.
Spending this kind of money on a FWD car is crazy if you like performance driving. In my opinion, only, of course.

I have an 09 CVT and it drives nice. If I want to feel the power of the car I use S or Multitronic mode and the car flies. The CVT has 8 shift points programmed. In reality a CVT has no shift points but the engineers progammed 8 into the paddle shifter. It is a blast to drive.
