Default That was the solution for me.........

When I need a quick start with my CVT I would use "manual" control. Select 1st gear and the response was immediate!! If you use D you are going to find a slight lag that just the way it works.

Default Same here

Sport mode and specially Manual give you a much more responsive throttle control.

Don't be sad. Think about all the good mileage you are about to get. =)

Default Just test drove (and bought) the quattro

and i there was no response issue. its more about the transmission and not about frontrak or quattro.

Default Is it an issue with my car?

So, I thought so too. I wonder if I should take the car in and get it looked at? You think it might be an issue with the tranie?

Default Drive in sport all the time. I do, and lag is significantly reduced. Not much of

a mileage penalty either.

Default Flash is correct - it's all down to the CVT.

At standstill, there's very little torque supplied to the front wheels. Once you gas it, the CVT takes time to spool up (like a turbo, though that's an engine torque curve issue). Can be dangerous on uphill traffic light stops, esp in the wet. Sport helps a lot.

In my 4 years with the CVT, my conclusion is that this is the last time i'll buy it, despite the lighter weight and fuel efficiency.

Default Disappointed

After driving for a week on this it is being very annoying and I can't believe Audi would put out a transmission that sucks this badly. The funny thing is when I talk to people at the dealer ship they know exactly what I am talking about yet no one does anything. They should have discontinued the CVT many years ago.

This is my first of what I thought was going to be many Audis, but now I am unsure. Sad.
