Default 2009 Avant only 2.0T and no manual tranny?

Thats what it looks like from the brochure...perhaps more to come in 2010??
2.0T is ok IMO as i'd chip it, but auto tranny kills it for me. Especially because i know that almost all the Avants sold in Europe are manual :P

Auto only. 2.0T only. And we're lucky to have that. There will be no S or RS models offered.

Default There will be B8 S4/RS4 eventually...and MAYBE S4 Avant if enough

interest seen in NA. I think there will be higher numbers for sure compared to previous years due to gas prices and the desire for a more economical soccer kid transporter. Large SUVs are a dying breed, we are finally beginning to understand why Europeans love their avants with tiny engines.

Default Just speculating, but I wonder if we may be more likely to see...

an Avant 2.0T with DSG before one with a manual.

Either way, the Avant will be fine with any tranny for us.

Default been discussed for a while, there is no manual avant offered in the US for 2009

in any model. no s4 avant at all, no manual a4 avant, and no s3 or a3 avant manual/quattro

On the sedans yes. No way on the Avant. AoA has been quite emphatic on that.

Might have to consider the 535xi for a manual wagon. Chip it to around 400HP and ur good to go!
