2010 A4 Bluetooth Issues

First of all, I am just trying to figure out if my A4 even has Bluetooth. I've owned the car for a couple of years and assumed it didn't have the functionality installed because I could never sync my phone to the car. When I press the "TEL", the MMI screen just says "Please Wait" indefinitely. Someone recently told me that if Bluetooth is not installed, it would say something like "Function Not Installed". So I thought maybe the module was installed and might be defective now or something.
Is there a definitive way I can figure out if Bluetooth is install once and for all? It may be worth noting that I do not have the navigation stuff on the car. Also, if/when I find out I don't have Bluetooth, is there an inexpensive alternative that will let me make/receive calls through the A4?
Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Assuming you're in the US, I would say I'm 99.999% sure you have the module and it's just defective. A VIN check via a local dealer would confirm its presence.

Okay, thanks. Do you know of any other way? I'm stuck on an island with no Audi dealership. Maybe I could just try calling a dealership and asking if they can look it up for me.

You can start by looking at your option code matrix (often the first page in the service book). The basic bluetooth handsfree has code 9ZX.
(If it's not there it doesn't mean that you don't have it, as part of a package.)

Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate it. I don't see 9ZX code in the list of options. I'll try giving a dealership a call. Though I do feel pretty silly calling some random person to ask if my six year old car has bluetooth functionality.

Call AoA and ask them for a Monroney Label (window sticker) for your car. Give them the VIN and an email address and they will send it in a couple hours.

From there you should be able to figure out what you have.

This is what I did when I picked up my 2014 pre-owned. In about 20 minutes I had the monroney emailed to me.
