I've only had this car for a couple of weeks so I'm still learning about it, but I did not see any posts about this.

The car has been off for a while, no key in it, and parked in my garage. I hear noises when I open the doors.

If I open the driver's door, there is a whirring noise which I figured is the fuel pump pressuring up the system for cold starting (I've confirmed this by reading various web posts). That one makes sense to me.

If I open any of the other passenger doors or the trunk lid, I hear a clicking "tick-tock-tick-tock" noise from the rear of the car.

If I close the door and immediately reopen it, the noises don't happen again. But If I wait a bit (more than a minute?), they will make the noises again.

I understand the whirring fuel pump noise, but what is the other one?

The relays in the back right. Not sure what they do, but it was very clear where the noise was coming from in my B8 avant when I had the interior all pulled out. So there's a bunch of fuses and relays back there, behind the right side storage bin in the cargo area. I assume something similar in the trunk if you have a sedan.
