Wife just drove from Winston Salem to Columbia SC, about 200 miles, drove 70-79 mph and said display was 35.8 mpg. Thats crazy! About 9,000 miles on our 2010 avant prem plus NON sport.

Even if 10% off thats still 32mpg! What an "economy car!".

Yea the car seems to love long uninterrupted road trips. Seems to do the worst with city driving where you're making lots of small stops along the way, like running errands. I'm getting about 380 gallons out if a full tank which isn't too bad.

I am new here and just got my new A4 Avant. Me and the wife took a trip from Vicenza Italy to Ramstein Germany for the 4th of July weekend.

598 Miles one way. my speeds varied from 0-130 mph depending on traffic and road conditions. Most of the trip i was running 100+ MPH on the Autobahn

Trip computer showed 27.8 avg mpg

On the return trip it was 25.5 MPG but i also had sustained higher speeds coming back since we left at 0230 in the morning. autbahn was pretty much empty and i could set the cruise at 120 mph. I only had to slow for construction zones and some traffic near larger cities and of course the speed zone areas.

Really happy with the A4, wish i didnt have the speed requlator. i would bet the car would hit 180 easy, it sure gets to 130 quick.

My computer is about .50 to 1 mpg off and I'll bet that most of them are not correct. To get a true reading you need to do the math.
