Just picked up my A4 2.0T last night and I noticed this clunking noise coming from the rear of the car when driving over bumps, dips in the road. It seems like it's coming from the left and right side. Could anyone shed some light on this? I checked the spare and everything is tight and also looked for shipping blocks and nothing looked out of the ordinary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Did you check that the bump stop isn't loose ?

It's a new car... Why not let the dealership take care of it?

Thank's for the link!! Yes they where both hanging. I Just finished doing it and worked like a charm. No more clunking.

It takes less time to jack the car up and push the rubber thingy in its place.
I'm guessing the factory installs the transportation blocks right there and the dealerships either forget to finish this up or they don't push the bump stop all the way in after the removal of the block.
