Bear in mind that Audi almost always has lower residuals than BMW and therefore their lease rates are normally higher.
It is not necessarily valid to compare 2011 to 2012 lease rates or similar cars because the residuals could be off by more than 8%, but the older car will usually have a promotional money factor or other incentives t keep the payment reasonable.
Also when leasing, many people confuse money down with total due at signing. The down payment is a capital cost reduction, and goes to reduce the amount financed by the lease. Many ads are misleading...they can say only $3000 down, but then the other fees such as security deposit if required, acquisition fee and mv fees are added, meaning the actual due at signing figure can be substantially higher.
Lease rates can also vary by region, and in some cases, by state. In New York, sales tax is due to the state in a lump sum at the of inception...meaning that the tax is either collected up front or amortized into the payment. Most other states do allow tax to be collected monthly with the payment...making NY quite unique. This should also be considered if leasing in NY.
All that aside, when I bought my 2010 A4, it was the first 2010 delivered in NY and the lease rates were horrible, so I bought. I tested the 328 and 335 extensively at the time, and found the Audi to be a much better value. It was larger inside and in the trunk, more comfortable, and more up to date from a technology point of view.
It comes down to taste, but I do think the A4 remains a better choice than the 3 series...this year. We will see what the new 3 series brings next year.
Good luck!

In the end, I agree that quattro is more desirable for this care, and it does provide an extra safety margin, but the FWD version isn't as bad as some people might think.

Does this incorporate their current lease offers? You need to deal on the Capitalization cost (sticker price) to get a better rate. Of course you have to have excellent credit as well, but you should definitely be doing better. I was quoted, I forget the exact value, around $570 for an A4 Quattro P+ w/Nav, Smart Key, all-weather floor mats and phantom black pearl paint with $1500 down.

I have leased multiple vehicles and know diff between cap cost reduction and drive off fees (destination, DMW, etc...). I never ever put $ down to reduce the cap.
Thanks TIME... I'll try your guy at Rusnak.
