3D Navigation

I have a 2010 A4 P+ and can't see the navigation screen in 3D. My settings are set to display in 3D, but nothing appears in 3D. The salesman told me to zoom to the lowest setting; I haven't tried yet, but can't imaging having to use the navi in 50-foot zoom mode.
Any/all suggestions appreciated.

Are you referring to 3D terrain or buildings and such? Not sure if its the same on the 3G MMI Audi, but I've had experience with some other portable gps devices that would only display 3D visuals of buildings in major metropolitan areas. When your out of the city, the mapping converts back to 2D visual. I could be wrong.

yeah I read on Audiusa.com that 3D only loads on the Nav where you're driving in an area where it's available (in major cities only). I didn't even get 3D visuals in Washington DC where I bought mine. I would think the great nation's capital would qualify as a major city, but I guess not. Now I'm in my smaller city and no 3D here either. Anyone in a "big" city got 3D? I wonder if it's more overseas?

What city are you trying to do this in? For the most part, it only works in major cities. Try zooming out and scroll over to a major city, then zoom back in. I've done this for NY, Washington DC, and Boston without a problem.

The sales guy was right - zoomed in works perfectly. I'm in Philadelphia and it's pretty amazing - the buildings are identical on screen as in real life...colors, shapes, etc. Very cool
