Default A4 3.2 laptime same as 335

This may be old news, but I just read that A4 3.2 laptimes were same as BMW 335 at Hockenheim. There have been numerous discussions here about A4 being underpowered. It definitely seems to be handling better. So, the new S4 should kill the 335 on track?

Default The infamous Hockenheim laop times from "Sport Auto"

Actually I'm fairly surprised. Imagine the previous-gen RS6 owner finding out that it's only 0.1 sec quicker than these two cars.

http://www.fastestlaps.com/track7.html</a

Default The 335 is .6 seconds of a second quicker per lap. That isn't the "same". That's a whipping.

The chart I looked at had the 335i .6 seconds per lap quicker than the B8 A4 3.2. That is far from being the "same". After just 15 laps the 335 would be 9 seconds ahead!! Which is a serious butt kicking.

Now watch me get attacked by the good squad.

Default You reading a different chart than the link below?

Or maybe mistake the 135i w/ the 335i?

Excerpts:

128. BMW 135i Coupe (E82) 1:17.4

138. BMW 335i Coupe 1:17.8

147. BMW 335i (e90) 1:18.0

148. Audi A4 3.2 FSI quattro (B8) 1:18.0

Default You deserve getting attacked. Where'd you get .6 seconds?

147. BMW 335i (e90) 1:18.0 ยด06 306 / 1610 Sport Auto
148. Audi A4 3.2 FSI quattro (B8) 1:18.0 ยด07 265 / 1610 Sport Auto

The coupe is at 1:17.8.

And "just" 15 laps? You're a sensationalist troll.

Default Oh, and it hung with a B6 S4 (3rd gear), the 420hp Jag XF SV8, an E55, and a 993 4S

That's more than impressive for a lowly 265hp A4. If you disagree.. well.. I'll ignore you.
