Warren,

Ya, I think that's the one I'm buying (phantom black on black Prestige+Titanium). Just working out the details with the dealership now. Got them to do CPO for $1000 and now trying to get the special CPO financing rate (2.4%) for MY2012 A4's. Also, getting it trucked down for $400 (Seattle to SF) which is much preferred over taking a day+ off of work, flying up there and then putting 800 miles on it (+gas and inevitable fast food hangover) to drive it home. $41k+1k for CPO+$400 transport for a 2012 A4 Avant Prestige+Titanium with 10k miles I wouldn't call rock bottom pricing but, given the rarity of the vehicle (getting more so by the day) and how un-fun to drive the All-Road I test drove this week was, I think I'm going to be very happy. Still wishing I could have managed one with ADS and alcantara but, at the end of the day, I'd rather default to very sporty (Titanium) than very soft (All-Road). Curious to see how the 2.0T and 8 speed auto will feel day to day vs my current 3.2+6 speed DSG now. A lot more immediate power for sure.

Thanks to everyone for all the leads and tips, pics to follow next week.

Yes, I just bought the red one in MN. It was funny, the salesman kept saying it had every option you could get, and I pointed out a couple of times that it couldn't have adaptive cruise, because the pix clearly showed no radar sensor for it. But that's ok, I rarely use cruise control, so I'll take ADS and S-line over adaptive cruise any day. In my mind, the biggest downside was it was one of the few relatively new cars that wasn't CPO, so I couldn't help but wonder why. But beyond some stone chips in the paint, it seems to be in good shape. And more importantly, I could get them down to a price I could stomach.

Considering the options and CPO, I still think the black one in MA was the best deal, but the one in MN was the better choice for me.

I think considering the used car prices right now, you did pretty good, especially for a 2012. I paid $40k for the red 2011 one in MN with 21k miles. The used car prices are (finally) starting to come down, and I know if I'd waited until the fall to get one, I'm sure I could have gotten a better price, but I was tired of looking, and getting impatient. This car was as close as I've seen to being exactly what I want (I'd prefer Quartz Gray, but red is fine), so I figured I'd take it while I can get it.

Well, well, well...Congratulations to both milknchees and dscline!
Yes, like to see them pics once you get your Avants delivered.

One thread, two purchases...amazing!

Since this thread has become about finding Titanium or S-line Avants, one in CA has come up on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S-Lin...b09193ae#v4-44

Ad says it has "all the options", but it looks like it just has the Prestige and S-Line packages.

dscline, yep I've had that convo with a half dozen dealers, "it has every option!" Uh, no. It's always weird to me that Audi sales guys don't know the options on all models, there's not that many and it's like, their job. That MA Avant was the one that got away, glad you got the red sline in MN, that was my #2 for sure. There's still two CPO silver 2011's on autotrader; an sline with ADS, and a titanium in NJ and GA respectively. But they're both listed very high (50k and 48k). There's also a red 2011 titanium, no ADS, no CPO for 42k in Portland, OR. That one was my #3. And I got the 2.4% APR from Audi (Chase) for CPO (2.4% for 10-12, 0.9% for 08-09). Over the course of my 48 month loan that was basically free CPO vs the 3.8% I could get without it.

Ouch! Hope my wife doesn't see this one, I had to talk her into black, that monsoon with Alcantara is very nice, and closer to me. Buyers remorse already, ha!

That didn't last long. Already gone. These S-Lines are hard to find.
