That's the color I wanted -- almost like a candy apple red. But it wasn't available in the states ... er, I mean, mainland!

Very nice! I would say the color looks like the Hibiscus Red (Hawaii... how apropos) that Audi had some years back!

It's Garnet Red Pearl Effect. Standard Audi palette for A4s in Germany and Q7s here (and the mainland), and probably others. I paid the extra bucks for Audi Exclusive and placed the order. I did voice my displeasure with AoA in their follow-up survey.

Garnet Red does look a bit like Hibiscus Red. My B5 is Hibiscus Red and I'd say it's a shade darker than Garnet.
