adaptive headlights

Asking the question means 99% you haven't.
If you have, then when driving (above 10kmph and below 110kmph) you'd see them move around the bends. Theres an S5 video on youtube showing it.
Even if you didn't see that then the start up check routine is different :
If you sit with the car turned off, have your car so the lights come on (i.e. either it's dark outside and lights are set to auto or put them to manually on. Then turn the ignition on. The light beam will go down, up and then (if you have adaptive) they will go in and out before settling on the normal driving position.

No, I ordered a 2011 A4 from US and was told adaptive lights are not available. Though I saw an '11 order from for another county (maybe Canada) which listed them as an option. I have no idea why they're not available on the US A4 since they are available on other models in the US. Audi is bizarre about disappearing/reappearing options...

From the A4 page Audi website, under features and specs, then click on the Premium Plus tab -
Audi xenon plus headlights with automatic self-leveling and integrated LED daytime running lights
The signature LED daytime running lights and high-intensity headlights not only add a distinct look to the vehicle, they also help improve visibility while using half of the energy of conventional bulbs.

I don't know what Audi sees in this feature of leveling the headlights. It's been around for a long time in their offerings, but I couldn't care less...

But as noted, this is different from Adaptive Light that turns to one side depending on speed and steering angle.

i think it used to be offered on the 2009 B8s. Like I said, Audi is weird. Take the compass in the mirror as an example; in for 2009, not available in 2010, back in 2011. Why? who the hell knows.
