Am I the only one here that thinks the B8 looks more like a BMW than an Audi?

I personally am glad I didn't hold out for the B8 Avant...

Yes. But, then again, I think BMW (5's especially) look like Pontiacs, so what do I know?

Default In some areas, yes. But in many other ways, no.

To my eye, the B8 looks more classy and elegant compared to the flamey BMW's. Also, and most importantly, is the interior comparison. BMW interiors are cold and not as driver-oriented as the Audis.

Default I also see definite BMW styling cues (clean sides with no moldings, sharp creases)

It is obviously better executed but there are definite BMW or bangle touches.

I have seen the car side by side a BMW 335i and the B8 looks better inside and out.

Maybe a little, until you sit in a B8 car. No comparison, shames the BMW honestly.

Default If you're referring to the side styling cues specifically that 'flame' design

Or whatever you call it, Moro is an Orange here called it out... the A6 had this first before the 3-series with this design was released.

So call it what you will, I don't think ire really looks like a BMW. Maybe it has some similarities to the 3-series on the side but the A6 had it first.

Default Where the 3-series goes wrong:

It's right below the window line at the door handles. There is a bulge, then it caves inward as you make your way down to the lower sills. This is pure last generation Ford Taurus. What it shows is they gave all this space to the passenger compartment area, but when it came to the lower running gear area, they skimped out. Most sporty cars get WIDER below the windows, not cave in. One thing I like so much about the B6/7 is the way the lower half of the car fills out. The B8, at least in pictures, seems to follow suite.

By the way, I don't think the 5, 6, and 7-series suffer the same thing. But they have the add-a-trunk bustlebutt that reminds me of my neighbor's old Caddy Seville with the fake spare tire.
