Default Another 09 nit to pick...

Does anyone know if there is a way to have the rear hatch on the Avants unlock when you unlock all the doors? The fact that you can only open it from the fob or the door is just insane. It's a latch, like all the other doors, just let it be used like all the others.

VAG-COM? Dealer says they don't know of a way. Did Audi not do any user testing when they make decisions like this? My previous two Avants (and every other station wagon/truck I've ever had worked like you expect it to.

Have you tried playing with the locking settings in the "car" menu in MMI?

Default man... the Passat wagon (the prior one, based of B5) did this

SUPER annoying. idiotic when you think about it that you could only open the trunk by pressing the fob button.

the B6 (assume B7) unlocks the hatch when you unlock all the doors (i.e., on the second press of UNLOCK on the fob).

What are you planning to do with it unlocked if you don't intend to actually open it? I have prestige so I have electronic open and am very satisified with it's functionality.

yes, the latch in the license plate recess. what you should be able to do is unlock all doors, walk up to it, grab that latch and open it up. but you can't. some pointy-headed Audi engineer (apologies to all non-pointy headed engineers) made this bone-headed decision that it shouldn't work like every %$$%^^%$ hatch in the world.

Yah but if you have to grab the latch to open it and that's when it senses your hand, unlocks and opens then what's the problem??? I really don't get it dude..
