Anyone else not a big fan of traction / stability control?

On snow is where there is more disagreement, as without ABS snow can pack up in front of the wheels and aid stopping. However, I'm of the belief that it is best to let the ABS do it's job all the time and not feel like I can outperform it (often there is ice beneath the snow that can send such attemps awry). I believe that the vast majority of drivers would be best served to do the same (even accomplished drivers).

Also, don't wait until the last minute to brake, otherwise you may get into the situation Mart242 references. Sometimes you just gotta trounce the pedal in an emergency, but being soft or gentle always helps in bad weather. Except when you're racing someone of course lol
