Default AoA promises not to hold back cool stuff for U.S. market

Hopefully this means more complete S-line packages with sport seats. No word on whether cool engines like the 3.0 TDI are coming as well.

Inside Line news link

Default 3.0 TDI S-Line. My order still stands, (with all the "cool stuff")

Nice to know we will get some of the German goodies too!

Default Bar none my biggest gripe with my B7 (the seats, that is). Figures they would do this now that

my next Audi will probably be an S4 or CPO RS4, which both have upgraded seats already. :/ Oh well.

Default Some of the items listed here are already offered on the U.S. B7.

There is some redundancy here and misinformation with the article. More importantly, we've heard such promises before. They are the same ones as, "diesels are coming." Don't believe the hype, look at history, and don't believe anything until you see it. That's my motto at least.

Don't worry even if available, AoA will still screw up the packaging...

Were sports seats previously not available with the S line in the US?

Correct. But half the other things Edmunds listed were.

Default I special ordered sport seats on my 2000 A4

well worth the money. At the time, they were $500 as a separate option, but required cloth interior, which was fine with me. They were manual adjust (also fine with me) versions of the S4 seats. Included manual height adjust and manual lumbar. The lumbar is the only thing I want in electric adjust anyway. They were supremely comfortable. The tighter fit of the side and seat bolsters was good after many hours, even on my larger frame.
