I hope cloth comes back as an option, and not as an option for only the FWD but also for the quattro. UNderstand that cloth seats would be for the minority and won't help with resale value.

would be leather covered bolsters with cloth center sections of seat bottom and back. I think VW may do something like this for the GTI / GLI with the cool plaid cloth. Unfortunately, at least for the US, those are not available with the seat heaters, so they don't get ordered much. The allroad had a cloth option, but leather was bundled with other options that most people wanted (sunroof and Xenon lights), so there are very few ones of those also.
