I wanted to get a CD out of the car to play on this great Saturday morning...
2009 A4 2.0T Prestige w/B&O
Car is off, key is in my pocket.
Simply push eject button, select CD# button. CD is ejected.
No need to turn the car or the stereo on.
The little things, while they might be considered "over engineered" by, they are much appreciated.

On the other hand, the side view mirror **** feels wobbly compared to the one on my TSX, and a couple of times I accidentally rotated it past one of the three allowed positions. There's also no small storage compartment for coins and other tiny stuff. The FOB also doesn't close all the windows, for some weird reason they disabled that in software. I guess they had to cut corners somewhere.

The fob will open and close all the windows (and sunroof if desired) if set to do so by enabling with Vag-Com software/cable and the user making appropriate settings in the MMI with the resulting new options screen. Using Vag-Com to allow for fob controlled windows up/down was also required for my 2001 A6 and 2002 allroad so nothing new here in my case.

My side view mirror control **** rotates 360 degrees. I first thought that you had to rotate it 180 degrees (facing the rear of the car) to get the mirror-tilt function -- until I read my manual. i gingerly turned it all the way to the right ... then kept going. I soon realized it had no effect whatsoever. Luckily, there seems to be no harm done.

Thats because on the 2008 A5/S5 and 2008.5 A4's the switch rotated 180 to get to the mirror fold in position. However Audi has since removed the power folding mirror option but they havent changed the mirror switch.

As snagitseven says, you can get the key fob to operate your windows. Just get someone with the new hex+can vag-com cable, and it's an easy fix. I changed mine to close all windows and sunroof on lock / and open only the sunroof on unlock.

I also like that the hood release lever is concealed by the driver door when closed, thus eliminating any flying hoods. Not that I've ever seen it happen.
One irony is when using the phone mode in the car while driving (not reccomended!) you get a warning message that takes your eyes off the road to read whats going on.

Ah, that explains it. At least now I know it's not broken, it's just a position that doesn't do anything.
