So I just picked up my new ice silver Prem Plus B8 today, and I had my iPod with me ready to take full advantage of the Audi Music Interface. However, I opened my glove box only to find that there was no cable to connect my iPod. I figured something must be wrong so I called my dealer and he informed me that the cable is sold separately. I have to pay another $54 just for the cable. I don't know about you guys but I think this is a little ridiculous and deceiving on the part of Audi.

That's BS. Call AOA. It's should be included. Mine certainly was w/o even asking.

There are several cables for different interfaces. Which cable type(s) were included free for you?

I just talked to my salesman who was out yesterday and he told me the ipod cable is definitely included in the Audi Music Interface. He's overnighting me one first thing monday morning.

It's $50 and I'd rather them not include it. What if you don't want an iPod one or specific one?

I have no use for the others anyway, i.e. USB or mini jack.

My dealer told me all the B8's with AMI they had received came without the cables. When I went to ANOTHER dealer's part dept (closer to me) the guy said he didn't understand why they didn't include the part.

What happened for you and Snagitseven is the dealer essentially bought it for you and threw it in as part of your purchase. Good for you but I'm pretty sure AOA itself doesn't include the cable in the car.
