Yeah, if all that looks good, then maybe an issue elsewhere. It might be an issue at the plug on the ABS unit itself. This becomes the problem when the diagnostics cannot provide a clear problem item. Hopefully it remains a rare self-healing event. :-)
Heh, my initial thought was "no", but then it occurred to be "he probably means while the car is not on. :-D
Sure, but it has that latch you have to release and pull up on to shift the plug out of the socket. So just be careful and don't force anything. You really don't want to break anything on that plug or socket.
Yea I had it off, nothing looks damaged in there either. I have no way of testing the actual ABS pump as I only have a cheap OBD2 scanner. Not sure what else I can check without a mechanics help.
Another update: the engine light and start-stop malfunction came back on.
Also I'm getting a new message on the dash screen, not sure if thats related to anything that showed up on that scan I did.
Your previous log had an error from the TCM, but it was gibberish. You'd need a better scan tool, like VCDS or OBDeleven, to hopefully get a sensible DTC log. Unfortunately, the idiot lights on the dash are useless, and regulators still do not require manufacturers to present the actual errors to actual owners. "gearbox malfunction", great, how about saying what the actual problem is.
There was also messages about problems with TCM communications. Maybe check the plug on the transmission itself, or look at the wiring on the underside. I remember watching a YT vid once, the random intermittent transmission issue was a frayed wire that would move against some metal and ground out since it was not properly secured in place (though the fraying was really the bigger problem).
