There are a few pics up on AWE's website, along with sound clips. I'll try to take some shots of mine later this week and post them up.

Any avant owners on here with AWE or any other exhaust installed? I've read on another Audi site with a couple of owners who have had some droning issues with no fix available.

I am probably the one you speak of......

I have the AWE dual outlet exhaust on the avant. It has been a work in progress with AWE. I currently have "version 2" of this system, and have just passed the 1,000 mile break in period for the exhaust where I will be able to give my personal impression of the exhaust soon.

Drone is definitely an issue, but I am not sure how much better the exhaust on this car could be. So far it appears as though with the Tiptronic cars, some form of exhaust drone is inevitable.

Hey Whips, yes it was your posts that I recall reading about a month or so ago. If I recall you were going to add some insulation in the wagon area? Sounds like that didn't help too much huh? If I'm up in the Bay Area, which work does send me up that way a couple of times a year, I would like to contact you if possible to see your setup. Hope things get worked out to your liking.

Actually, I did not go with the insulation material because other first movers on this exhaust had already contacted AWE about the issue and alerted them of the problem. Since that point, AWE has taken full responsibility for the issue and have been generously trying to resolve the problem.

Currently, I have the second attempt at the center midpipe/muffler. It is much larger than what was originally sent out with the rest of the exhaust in order to try an tame the serious drone that was occurring. The new mid pipe has greatly improved things....

.........But I am not quite sure we are there yet...... More to follow on this.
