Same question as Mart. You guys that were able to change it, have the Nav package right? Or are Mart and I just idiots? I have the B&O without the Nav package, and I've gone through the MMI and owners manual, and might need step by step help, as I just don't see where I'm suppose to change the setting.....

I have Navi and don't see this setting either. What's funny is that almost all VW's going back to at least mid 90's allows this. My B6 A4 had a "turn on volume" setting as does my 2002 TT.
Perhaps it's a Vag-com or dealer only setting?

I have a european B8 of the first model year (2008).
It remembers the last volume setting.
I just did an extra test today, setting a really low volume when parking this morning. In the evening, it started up at the same volume (and continued playing where it left off).
Extra info:
I have B&O , Nav (2G), "sports steering wheel" with the control buttons. I leave the "media" player on (playing MP3:s from the CD changer) and just remove the key from the key slot to turn it off. I have no MMI setting for "start up volume".

I can't find this setting on my car (yet). I may be forced to RTFM soon. Unless someone can post the exact menu location (i.e. MEDIA > SETUP > VOLUME CONTROLS > ... etc.).

There is no way of setting a "turn on volume" in MMI. I checked all settings and read the manual cover to cover...well, ok, just the bits I needed ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Strange that with so many settings that basic ones are left out.
A few others are the zoom level on the map. It's never where I last left it nor the same each time I get in the car.
Love the car 99.999% of the time but there are times I get in and feel like I'm in a rental since I'm adjusting everything every AM.
Sorry for the rant
