Default You live in Mansfield? So do I. I live near School Street behind Rt 140. We should...

meet up for coffee some weekend morning if you are up for it. I am always up for meeting fellow enthusiasts to talk all things Audi and I can tell by your sig that you are a big fan of the brand.

Were you, your wife and your B8 at the Ira Audi GTG last fall. I know there was a Silver B8 3.2 there.

That was us - we had just gotten our A4, one of the first '09's in MA a few weeks earlier. Which Audi were you? Did we talk at the event?
We live in West MF near Oak and School (Elm). You may also have seen my wife driving around in her '02 Alpaca Beige allroad.
Small world.
I'll shoot you an email.

Default I don't think we spoke at the event. Here is a few pics of my A4 from that event.

Although, right now the A4 is sporting it's winter mode with 16's and blackout grilles, not to mention a lot of road salt. =)

Default If you drove to Hampton Beach from the meet, your A4 might be in this photo...

I didn't. That is Greg's amazing 1.8T with more mods than I could dream of.

I am definitely going to miss having a 'real' spare that matches my other wheels.

Default The one positive with the smaller "donut" spare...

is it was much easier to manage when changing a wheel on the side of the road due to its smaller size and weight.
Surprisingly, I noticed no real noticeable negative effects from driving with it on except being limited to 50-55 mph.

Still better than runflats which could leave you stranded. Happened before.

Default Update - got new tire mounted and worst fear abated...

Had the new tire mounted and did a Hunter road force balance and the 18" Prestige wheel appears to be ok - no damage. Although I'm out $190 it could have been $900 if the wheel also needed replacement. I'm impressed that this wheel held up - I've hit potholes less severe that turned wheels into Salvador Dali surrealist paintings.
Whew.
