Do the A4's brakes have a rear bias? My '07 Passat does and I replaced the rears at about 45K and have read that under normal use the fronts can make it to 100K. Evidently it's about a 2:1 ratio, rear vs front. I'm at 85K now w/no issues. Just was curious if B8 will be the same way.
Thanks

You are correct. My Passat is a 6sp manual. My Passat OEM pads don't put out much dust at all and they have worked well so far. I'll more than likely stay with them when I get the frts and rears done in the next year or so. I wish there were a direct aftermarket (ie cheaper) set of pads that were cross-referenced to the OEM.
I think the rear bias on the Passat was done to eliminate front-end 'diving' and it seems to have worked well. Sounds like Audi didn't need to engineer that type of breaking into the B8 given its AWD set-up and / or the chassiss size etc. Or it simply may be may just a technology improvement over my '07.
