A/C Condenser Replacement - Oil Required?
I am replacing just the condenser on my 2011 A4 because of a hole. I will be recharging the system with R134a. My question is, do I need to add compressor oil and if so how much. I have watched many generic videos on condenser replacement, some say add a couple of ounces, some say 8oz others don't mention it at all. Very confusing.
Any help would be appreciated.

i would add an ounce per component, but that just me, and also if you had it professionally vacuumed which sucks everything out would add the full amount required.

I think the1 oz seems correct. I have a kit to vacuum it myself and recharge. I have seen videos that firmly say that the vacuuming process does not suck the oil out, just the air, moisture and any remaining refrigerant.
Thanks

then just go with it is the vacuum kit does not have an oil recovery reservoir.
