Complimentary Sirius trial sub... 10 months post purchase?
So I purchased my car December 6, 2008. I had Sirius the day I picked it up, but it ran out after two months. Today, October 2nd, 2009, I receive a letter in the mail from Audi / Sirius. It's dated September 28, 2009, and says:
Congratulations! Your vehicle is equipped with SIRIUS Satellite Radio and, as an owner of an Audi, you're entitled to a complimentary 3-month trial subscription. Your trial subscription will begin on September 30, 2009. Please call to activate you (sic) radio.
After that, it just gives some information about Sirius.
Anyone else receive one of these letters? It doesn't give any discount offers to subscribe, doesn't look like a letter asking me to renew my subscription after the initial trial ran out. Odd letter.
Gonna give it a call and activate it I guess, I'll post how it goes after the call.
Edit:
Well, I called, they asked for my phone number to look up my account... couldn't find it by that, but found it by my Radio's ESN#. Then I went out to my car, backed it out of the garage to make sure it had a clear view of the sky, and then he sent a signal to it. Took about 10 minutes or so (including waiting on hold for a few minutes). Sirius works again!
