Yikes, stay on top of it. I had a 96 A4 and just like you I had to add 1 quart between oil changes, not a problem. I then got a 2011 A4 and the oil consumption got worse over time. The first quart was added before my first oil change. It progressively got worst, and at 34,500 I did stage 1. What a joke, it went 1500 miles, and it was done a quart again. My dealer was going to do stage 2, but I didn't want a rebuilt engine in a 2.5 yr old car.

1 quart per 3500. Everytime I go in for service I pick up 3 quarts of oil and stuff them alongside the spare tire.

I would be wary of buying a used Audi. There must be so many chronically under lubricated cars on the road.

hey guys im going in for my 35,000 service just added my 3 quart last week and would really like to know what the stage 1 and 2 services are at the dealer so i know what to ask for.

My oil consumption has gone up significantly recently. Just burned 1 qt in 1200 miles.

You need stage 1 or stage 2 (if you have already done stage 1). Adding 1 quart of oil after 3 tanks of gas is nuts! Take your car to the dealer ASAP and grab a nice loaner!

Well I had stage 1 done about 600 miles ago and had it in this week to replace a bulb.

They told me see u next week we are changing rings and pistons. kind of blows I have only had the car for 2 months was a certifid Audi used with 42k on it.

My dealer is great though and I can't complain to tell you the truth. thinking all will be well and if not I've drove the whole audi fleet and like them all.

I'm going to call AOA to have warranty extened, see how that goes?
