I finally decided to de-badge the rear. Wasn't sure if I was going to like it so I first took a picture of the car and did it with Windows' Paint. Then I did it for real.
I like it so much better this way - a cleaner and less common look; easier to clean as well.




The camera messed up the color though - there wasn't much light.

Looks great!

I like how you left the rings. I think it looks too plain without them. What did you use to remove them? I used waxed dental floss and then some acetone wiped away any residue before a quick polish and wax.

I heated up the badges with a hair dryer and then used dental floss. Didn't have a goo-gone and used alcohol instead with limited success. I then used a scratch remover paste to get off the remaining goo and polish the clear coat. It took me 30 minutes. A hair dryer, dental floss, and goo-gone is what it takes, I just didn't have all that.
