Do I have adaptive headlights?
<center><img src="http://homepage.mac.com/producingtherobot/images/newa4/side.jpg"></center><p>Hey everyone, just picked up a 2009 A4 S-Line Prestige Avant with Nav.
I wanted to know if I had adaptive headlights?
Is this even an option in the US?
My b7 S4 had them but I just cannot tell with this new A4 and I cannot find any info online or on the sticker.
Thanx,
Justin

That's strange..in Canada it's offered in an Technology package..
I really wanted to get these since they are sooo cool! Albeit causes more to break..
But the technology package on the 2.0T Premium has Side assist, adaptive headlights, homelink, and advanced key with the start button thing. Out of that I only really wanted the headlights..but at a $2200 premium, I guess I could live without it lol
On the 3.2, all of those items listed above comes standard!
It seems that there are more than a few things that differ from US and Canadian spec A4s..

Yes. . .but. . .
. . .I know what you mean and the answer is this:
You get bi-xenon, auto-leveling and speed adaptive headlights: not corner following (based on steering wheel turn) lights.
The headlights go UP or DOWN based on your speed. The faster you goes, the higher they gets.
Dumb, dumb -- I loved the LEFT or RIGHT moving lights on the 2005 A6 -- my wife's X3 has them for crissakes. UP and DOWN -- what in the wide wide world of sports is that about?
And why not auto folding power outside mirrors either?
Charge a couple bucks more for this stuff will ya? Or at least give us the friggin' CHOICE?!? Hell I was nearly at $50K for my A4, do you really think (Audi?) that I would not have ponied up a couple more bucks for this stuff?
What were they thinkin'????

hard acceleration/braking
nose either lifts (acceleration) or dives (under hard braking). don't want the lights shining up into someone's rear view mirror on acceleration nor losing depth of illuminated view ahead on hard braking i would assume.
very momentary need if you ask me but i can understand it in principle i suppose.

Re: I believe it's one of the things that we don't get here.
We dont? I thought we do...then i can get the ecode then...is cheaper without the adaptive part.
