Default Does anybody know this part number

Hi,

As you can see from this picture, I have a rust problem on the left side fender that Audi refuses to cover...

Does anybody would have the part number for the plastic cap on this picture ?

Thanks,

The rusting fenders are a known issue with pre-facelift B8's. Most of these have been fixed under the warranty at least in Europe. This is because of faulty design. The rusting begins from the inside, where the wheel well liner scrubs against the wheel arc causing the paint to wear and finally peeling of paint because of rust.
This is not caused by road stones etc. So, trying to cover/protect the edge of wheel arcs does not help.

Part numbers for the plastic caps:

8K0 821 654, right
8K0 821 653, left
N 038 5012, split rivet, set of 4pcs

Thank you BuzzL for the part numbers !

I know all about the rusting fenders. Mine started to rust 2 years ago and I asked Audi to fix it. They refused.

Last may, I asked the dealer for a quote to fix the left side as it was getting worst: $1854.08 Can.

I wrote to Audi Canada and sent them the quote. I explained that this was an issue with the pre-facelift B8 A4 and that it was being fixed free of charge in Europe. I even gave them the bulletin number.

They called me to tell me that they do not care if Audi Europe is fixing it for free. They are a different entity and they are not fixing it, period. They also said that it is not a pre-facelift issue, because all the cars they sell are thoroughly tested and perfect and they are sorry that I feel otherwise.

Case closed.
