Droning noise from front

Hi, I'm new to this thread and a new owner of an audi a4 2008. Having driven the car I've been getting a droning sort of noise from the front and this gets louder as I increase speed. The noise starts from around 15mph onwards. I've checked the wheel bearings at a mechanic and they have said that they are fine. I have also had the tyres changed and still no difference. Could this possibly be a tracking issue? Any help would be great. Thank you

Keep in mind that bearings can 'fail' without exhibiting wheel movement -a common way that some inspect / establish failure. The noise you describe (some refer to it at hovering prop plane) is suggestive of metal- metal wear -- time will tell ...(?)
