First of all, the dealership was like a ghost town. I guess with this economy, people aren't flooding in. Could (?) affect their willingness to deal.
Sweet car. Definitely going to pick one up in the next few weeks, it's just a matter of which trim line and the final numbers.
Engine: Ride (non sport suspension) a tiny bit looser than I was expecting, but still felt like an A4 with very good zip. Idles so quietly I didn't think it was on. Sport 'S' setting on Tiptronic was very nice. Would mostly obviate manual shifting.
Interior: Front seats were comfortable. Very decent rear leg room as long as you're not stuck behind a tall driver. Not a ton of incidental storage space (under seat storage is gone and I think AMI in the glove box takes up some of that room). Sound system was fair to good. Enough so that I wouldn't go prestige just for the B&O, though I bet that sounds nice. I'd been concerned about the giant open sky sunroof only covered by cloth, but if I get it tinted, it should be fine. Dash nipple doesn't bother me -- if it is a little harder to reach. Since all cars have the Symphony radio ($380) for now, if I add blue tooth and iPod to a Premium model, that's $1,200 of options and for another $2800 jumping to Premium plus I'd get those amazing led running lights. Seems almost worth it.
Exterior: With all the carping here, I thought I'd hate the 17" wheels. I don't. Premium Plus ten-spokes are definitely nicer than premium ones. One odd thing -- they also had a 2009 A3 and it had chrome fog lights and tailpipes. A4 doesn't seem to do either at any trim level. Strange.
But a great car. I'll definitely get one. But which color?????

I'm liking the B8 more and more personally. The power improvement and transmission tweaks are probably the things I appreciate most. The Tip is now bareable to drive.
