Default Exhaust tips for B8 Avant

I was very disappointed in the look of the exhaust tips on my new avant. My dealer said the aftermarket audi collection ones don't show up as being compatible with the avant. Has anyone found something that works?

Hehe, I like the look of the Avant tips as they are. One less thing to polish too. I hate how the exhaust soot builds up on the TT's tips, they are a PITA to clean (and I wash the car almost every week).

I'm talking about the condensation water that dribbles out of the exhaust and stains it. The tips are stainless so they don't corrode (or resist corroding), but the wet soot seems to cling more stubbornly than just the dry powdery soot.

I dunno man, I just spray them with Meguiars Quick Detailer and wipe the black stuff off, then they look good as new.

I hate the tips. That's why I'm so happy Milltek are building an exhaust.

I can't find chrome covers that fit over these 80mm tips anywhere.

These are horrid. I'm still waiting on an answer from Audi as to why they're advertising chrome tips when these aren't.

I'm 100% with you on the marketing claim too. I was confused when my car arrived, but have grown to accept the tips as they are. I think Audi used the description "polished" though (I may be mistaken).

Chrome...polished. These are neither. Bias-cut beer cans are more like it.
