I purchased the car with non-sport which is what made me lower the car. I lowered it with Eibach prokit springs which gives it a 1.4in drop in the front and 1.2in drop in the back. Out the door the springs and installation cost me $395. I have a friend that hooked me up with the springs for $195. Installation was done by VIP Status in Torrance, CA. They took care of me there too installing it for 2 bills...=p! The wheels I have are the stock 17". Hopefully I can get VMR 715s soon!!!
I considered it a steal!

We are carrying sport springs for only 263.40. The drop is a nice and the handling characteristics will get a little more responsive. Definitely a great visual and performance upgrade for the dollar.

just installed H&R oe sport last friday , im glad i got them, im 90% happy with the purchase, i might get a set of coils soon, im just not happy about going over speed bumps and its a little bouncy over dips, but the ride quality is better than stock non-sport, a lot less body roll on turns, it really handles great in turns. but there are 8 speed bumps in my subdivision before i get home and they feel a little hard ( i know it seems like very little to worry about when the car is so much better everywhere else).
if you want to see what the drop is like , follow the link

I've been wondering, and maybe you can help clarify, Chris@ECStuning (or anyone for that matter). I understand the H&R Sport and Super Sport springs have approx 1.5" front drop. The only difference is that the Super Sports have a 2.0" rear drop (as opposed to 1.5" for Sport). What would be the advantage/disadvantage to dropping 2" instead of 1.5"? Like the OP, I would be dropping from OEM non-sport.
Thanks in advance for any and all responses!

In our experience the drops are proportionate:
OE Sports are a ~1.2" drop front and rear.
Sports are a ~1.5" drop front and rear.
Super Sports are a ~2.0" drop front and rear.
The more agressive of a drop yields more agressive handling and ride height. Hope that helps.

I would be a little nervous to do a super sport drop with non-sport suspension... the shocks would be too soft, and I bet that it would rub when going over dips at high speed... If I were to drop my non-sport.. the sport springs with the 1.5" drop front & rear would be as far as I would go... I would probably just save up and get those H&R coilovers with the front & rear H&R sway bars... that would be a sick setup..

Has anyone cut their springs to lower ride height instead of going with the harsher riding sport 's?
