gas gauge on empty..

gas gauge on empty..
So the other day I went to fill up on some gas because I only had 15 miles till empty. When I got back in to start the vehicle the gas gauge did not go up now my car is riding on e what is the problem ??

I mean, well, sounds like something broke. Time to go the service advisor.
My first car, my grandpa's 1966 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup, had a broken gauge. Come to think I have no idea when I knew to fill it up.... guess I just randomly filled it like a teenager would.
