Just got a my 2013 2.0 A4 6 speed two weeks ago!
The Gas pedal makes a click sound when easing into first gear at around the 10-15 km mark. Usually the worst after starting up the car, but will happen at times after a red light etc..
Anyone have this?
I brought it to the dealer for service, he only heard it once and said he's not sure what it is, I should continue driving it and see if it's breaking in or something.
I'm not convinced.
You?
I have the same thing, I have a 2013 s4 a/t...but when the car is warm and I've driven for a bit. I'll park it, let it sit for 30-1 hour and I'll get in it, put it in reverse then drive. Soon as I go the accelerator pedal makes a clicking sound and you can feel it in the pedal. I've read other peoples post about it and I tried to have the dealer look at it, but they said no tsb's and they couldn't duplicate it. So we shall see....
Any updates?
Do you still feel it?
It was usually after the first few seconds of driving, but some times after a red light. After a while, it started even while on the highway!
Audi said they only could replicate it once, and it was from the ABS check, but I'm not buying it.
Happens to my A4 B6 1.8T as well. However, it only occurs once right after I start driving forward for the first time after starting the engine. I read on different websites that it's the ABS system doing a check. However, I don't buy it. If you look at a wiring diagram, the ABS shouldn't affect the gas pedal. It's not connected in any ways. Does anybody have a different solution/answer to the problem?
I'm going to add another data point here: 2014 A4Q 6MT at about 105K miles, and I've noticed this little vibration in the accelerator pedal briefly after starting off in the morning (diagram for reference):
I don't notice it again in stop/go traffic, but on longer highways drives, the slight vibration appears for a few seconds, then goes away again. Never feel anything telegraphed through the steering wheel simultaneously. After all this time, nothing seems to be affected, so I attribute it to another little VAG quirk. --g
